YMCA teaching assistant charged with molesting 17 kids

Indiana teen Michael Begin is accused of molesting 17 girls, ages 3-7, while he worked at a YMCA as an elementary school teaching assistant. Tina Stahl, a victim’s grandmother, spoke to CBS affiliate WLKY-TV on Monday after Begin was charged with 20 new counts and ordered held on $100,000 bail. Source

Afghan official calls trusting Taliban a “miscalculation”

As chairman of the Afghan High Council for National Reconciliation, Abdullah Abdullah is in charge of negotiating peace with the Taliban for the Afghan government. But as U.S. forces leave, he told CBS News’ Charlie D’Agata that the militants don’t seem to be in the negotiating mood, and he believes the U.S. decision to deal with the insurgents was a “miscalculation.” Source
