Upper Cumberland Habitat relies on Volunteers to keep our ministry strong, and not just on the job site.  We use volunteers in our basic daily operations, from ReStore volunteers to Office volunteers, and in-between.

Our ministry simply cannot carry out our mission without volunteers, they are VITAL, to what we do.  So think about the groups you are a part of, church groups, sororities, work associations, civic groups, etc.   We can utilize volunteers ages 16 and up in many capacities.  18 and over in all capacities.  There may be ways you can help us from your own home as well.

Legal Aid Society Providing Free Legal Services To Low-Income Individuals In The Upper Cumberland

Are you in need of legal representation? The Legal Aid Society is a nonprofit law firm providing free legal services to low-income individuals in the Upper Cumberland. They do not handle any criminal cases, just civil cases, which include issues such as representing victims of domestic violence, stalking or sexual assault, tenants with landlord/tenant disputes, people with debt problems who are having collection agencies contact them or sue them, consumers who have purchased goods and have issues with the product not working or questions with the financial agreements, homeowners who are struggling to pay their mortgage and are in fear of foreclosure, people who are trying to get or keep public benefits, workers who have been discriminated against, children with disabilities who are trying to get appropriate educational services from school systems or DCS placements, taxpayers who have controversies with the IRS, and seniors over the age of 60 with any of the above problems but also who may be exploited by family members or friends. Cookeville – Bootcamp Presented By Cookeville Leisure Services April 1st thru June 29th at the Cane Creek Recreation Center. Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30-6:30 Participants will utilize the natural elements to incorporate body weight exercises, cardio and strength training.
