In this immersive interpretive experience, you will be able to gather crops from the gardens and get the farm ready for the winter season. Compete to win individual and team prizes at the 9th Annual Dixie Roofing Clays for Children Sporting Clays Tournament! This is a two day event and will begin on Thursday, October 3rd at 8:00am and end on Friday, October 4th at 5:00pm. In order to participate you will need a team of  four shooters. The entry fee is 150$ per shooter, and golf carts will be provided. Extra golf carts will be available for 25$ each. A silent auction will be held both days, as well as a live auction during lunch.

Come out to the 13 week sessions, to learn about how to deal with loss. There will be video instruction, discussion, and workbook study. There is a suggested donation of $25 for the workbook. They meet every Thursday 5:30 to 7:30 PM.

This Halloween themed race takes participants on a loop through Cookeville. Runners/ Walkers will start the race on the campus of Tennessee Tech University. 
This race is open to both runners and walkers as long as they can reach the finish line within 3.5 hours. Half-marathon and relay teams will need to maintain a pace of at least 16 minutes per mile.
Participants must be at least 12 years of age to participate in the half-marathon or 10 years of age to participate in the 5K.

 The WCTE Craft Beer Festival returns on October 19th at the new venue, Trackside in Cookeville’s Westside, adjacent to the Cookeville Depot museum and across from Blood Assurance. Presented by WCTE in collaboration with Shelton Consulting Solutions, this annual PBS fundraiser features a diverse selection of craft beers from local and regional brewers.

Read 1000 Books Before Kindergarten Program Available At The Millard Oakley Public Library. The Library participates in this program by providing prizes to preschoolers for reading. The child writes down 100 book titles they have read alone or with their caregiver. They turn in each sheet and get a prize, the biggest prize is after they have read their 1000 books!

Read 1000 Books Before Kindergarten Program Available At The Millard Oakley Public Library. The Library participates in this program by providing prizes to preschoolers for reading. Read 1000 Books Before Kindergarten Program Available At The Millard Oakley Public Library. The Library participates in this program by providing prizes to preschoolers for reading. Read 1000 Books Before Kindergarten Program Available At The Millard Oakley Public Library. The Library participates in this program by providing prizes to preschoolers for reading. The child writes down 100 book titles they have read alone or with their caregiver. They turn in each sheet and get a prize, the biggest prize is after they have read their 1000 books!
