Law enforcement agencies work to rescue those they can, and groups like Second Life Tennessee help those affected by it. We talk with Second Life Tennessee director Jerry Redman about the role they play and how they try to offer help.

How we address those who need help and the resources available in our area.

The growing number of teens engaging in sexting, messages with sexual content.

It’s risky behavior that exposes them to potential predators, bullying among their peers and often a sense of shame. Messages, images and in some cases videos of a sexual nature or with explicit content.  Cookeville High School guidance counselor Lori Strode and Detective Roger Cooper with the Putnam County Sherriff’s Department join us to examine this dangerous and growing trend and its impact.

Today In The Upper Cumberland: Comprehensive Pain Clinics Closing

The potential for health risks as several pain clinics close across Tennessee.

Comprehensive Pain Specialists recently announced that 21 of their clinics across the state will close at the end of July, inlcuding one in Cookeville. Director Barbara Kanapel and Regional Overdose Prevention Specialist Suzanne Angel work with the Smith County Drug Prevention Coalition. They help us answer the questions of how this will impact patients and what they need to know to find alternatives.
