The history of the Apollo 11 moon landing

Saturday marks 50 years since the greatest technological achievement in human history: At 4:17 in the afternoon Eastern time, a spacecraft carrying astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin touched down on the moon. Even now, NASA’s Apollo 11 mission continues to inspire America’s next steps into space. Source
