Scorching heat hits southern U.S.

Much of the South is trapped under a heat dome which is expected to shift east in the coming week. At the U.S. Open in North Carolina, the extreme heat was hitting players and spectators. Medical staff brought in for the event treated hundreds of heat-related illnesses. Dave Malkoff has more. Source
