Rare meteorological phenomenon called a “snow firehose” pumps 3-4 feet of snow in upstate N.Y.

An intense lake-effect blizzard hit upstate New York, and the National Weather Service warned that travel could be dangerous and impossible for the region. The police department in Waterton, New York, is advising everyone not to travel in the area this weekend. Don Dahler reports. Source
