Hong Kong protester shot as China celebrates 70 years of communism

Police say a protester was shot by an officer during violent demonstrations in Hong Kong coinciding with China’s anniversary celebrations. Police used tear gas and water cannons to disperse crowds in the city’s central business district overnight. Tuesday marks 70 years since the founding of the People’s Republic of China.
