Here they go again: See OK Go’s incredible optical illusion-filled music video

Back in 2006, OK Go killed the game with their innovative music video for the song Here It Goes Again, which showed the world a new way to use treadmills.

Well, they’re back at it with the video for their latest song The Writing’s on the Wall.

The video took three weeks to stage and choreograph and 50 takes to nail since it was filmed in one long take.

Frontman Damian Kulash tells Rolling Stone that he realizes and accepts that his band may be known more for their amazing visual stunts than their tunes.

“Getting people to not overlook or discount the music can be a challenge. When the treadmill video broke, we suddenly were a much bigger band than we were the month before, but we also knew that now people were gonna see us as a kind of a one-hit stunt band. We could go in two directions: We could either try to out-cool it – try to out-run it like Radiohead did with ‘Creep’ – or just embrace it and go, OK, what really worked here.”
