Growing A Generation Winner: Prescott South Middle’s Mary Beth Herron

Mary Beth Herron is a 6th grade teacher at Prescott South Middle School of Cookeville. She was nominated by Iris Strode because she “makes her Language Arts classes fun and meaningful. She uses music, games, and poetry to make our lessons interesting. She challenges us to think about the meaning of things we read and also songs we hear on the radio. You can tell she cares about us and is interested in us as people, not just students.”
