The Overton County Archives is partnering with the Overton County Historical Society and is presenting a FREE class where you will learn genealogy for beginners and gain an understanding of how to kickstart your family research. You will have a step-by-step walkthrough on how to build your family tree. This class
will be the foundation of where to look and how to research. The Archives is a treasure trove of information, and we will be here to guide you to finding it. You will start building your tree here that day and be able to take your new information, family sheets and skills home with you to enable you to continue your research. The class is free, but space is limited, please register by either calling The Overton County Archives at 931-823-8864 on Thursday or Friday between 8 am to 4:30 pm or email your name and contact information to 1806archives@gmail.com.
