Charlie Rose reads “‘Twas the Night before Christmas”

Nearly 200 years ago, a New York man named Clement Clarke Moore wrote what he thought was a silly Christmas poem for his children. We know that poem as “‘Twas the Night Before Christmas.” Today’s image of Santa Claus as a jolly plump fellow who delivers presents originates in this story.
