Cosmic Clay Studio’s Louis Colombarini shares his unique method for firing his Neo-primitive ceramics, and what goes into his ceramics making process. Emily also chats with Dina Smith of Dina Smith Painting to learn more about her acrylic abstract art, and her artistic background.

Today In The Upper Cumberland: Tennessee Suicide Prevention Network

Brenda Harper and Kristi Paling discuss the Tennessee Suicide Prevention Network

In 1998, a Memphis psychiatrist began a campaign to focus on the prevention of suicide. That group would become the Tennessee Suicide Prevention Network. TSPN works across the state to reduce the stigma of suicide by providing facts, and debunking myths. By extension, the hope is the impact of suicide is decreased across our state. The Tennessee Suicide Prevention Network, and its Upper Cumberland group, are spending a lot of time currently examining teen suicide, and its alarming rise. Brenda Harper and Kristi Paling join us this week.
