Sheila Says: A Patriotic Titan

Titans linebacker Avery Williamson wore patriotic cleats Sunday to recognize the 15th anniversary of  the 9-11 attacks. He was expected to be fined by the NFL for not complying with their dress code and many, including Titans head coach Mike Mularkey, were willing to pay the fine for him, but it looks like the league is going to make a very rare exception and not impose the fine. Williamson plans to auction off the shoes with a meet and greet, two VIP tickets to a Titans game and a signed jersey. The proceeds will benefit Operation Warrior Wishes, a nonprofit that provides NFL game day experiences to wounded veterans.

All of them have established solo careers and projects they are currently working on. He says there is hope that the band may reunite. Glenn has a son named Deacon that sings and plays guitar. Don said that’s the only way he would agree to get the band back together, if Deacon agreed to fill in for Glenn. Don Henley said playing Desperado at his shows has helped his healing and he feels it has helped fans, too. It was the first song he and Glenn wrote together. Here is Glenn and his son Deacon singing “Hotel California”.

Sheila Says: Watch Singer Toni Basil At Age 72

Oh Toni you so fine, you so fine you blow our minds! At 72 (She’ll be 73 at the end of this month) she shows moves like a 20 something. In 1982, she was the singer that had us chanting Mickey in her cheerleader outfit with pigtails. She was 39 then. The years have been kind to her. She isn’t in pigtails but she really hasn’t changed that much. She’s a choreographer. Because she works behind the cameras, people didn’t think she was still working, but she has been in full swing this entire time!
