Michael Jackson’s Favorite Chair On Ebay

A Nashville businessman is selling one of Michael Jackson’s favorite chairs on ebay. The chair was in his bedroom when he died and has a liquid makeup stain on it from Michael.  The chair was also featured in the premiere episode of CMT’s 2014 reality series Radiers Of Rock and showcased the chair’s significance in rock history. The businessman purchased it when they auctioned off Jackson’s belongings from his rented apartment after his death. The chair is currently listed as a “buy it now” price of $30, 000 and ends on July 4th.

When he hit his teen years, he dropped out of school to pursue his dreams.

Katy Perry Visits Dollywood

Katy Perry  had a big ole Tennessee time before her sold- out concert in Nashville Friday.  Katy, who said she grew up loving Dolly Parton,  took her whole crew to Dollywood, treating the team to a day of roller coaster rides, turkey legs and Dolly Parton memorabilia. Folks at Dollywood were prepped ahead of time for her arrival, but Katy said she wanted to be treated like a regular guest with no special VIP treatment.

Former Tennessee Senator Howard Baker Dies

Howard Baker has been a familiar name not only in Tennessee politics but for the entire country for over two decades. He served in the Senate from 1967 to 1985.  Senator Baker was  majority leader from 1981 to 1985 and was also President Ronald Reagan’s Chief of Staff. Mr. Baker was the first popularly elected Republican senator from Tennessee. He played a key role in trying to find out the facts behind the Watergate scandal involving President Richard Nixon, asking the question, “What did the president know, and when did he know it?”.  Senator Howard Baker died June 26 at his home in Huntsville, TN of complications from a stroke. He was 88.

What Tennessee Venue Did John Legend ALMOST Get Married At??

Did you know that John Legend and his wife Chrissy Teigen were almost married in Tennessee?  She was co-hosting The Michael and Kelly Show and mentioned  Blackberry Farm in East TN.  They started their guest list and realized it was going to be over 300 so they changed venues.  That says a lot for our beautiful state of Tennessee!  Not too shabby.

Crocodile Hunter’s Daughter Speaks Out

Parents aren’t the only ones sick of seeing their young teens dress skimpy.   The late Steve Irvin’s daughter, Bindi, says she wants to tell young girls to “dress their age” because they’ll be disappointed in themselves later in life.  She says girls look classy in a cute tee shirt and jeans. When she was just nine years old, she had a children’s clothing line called Bindi Wear. Bindi will turn 16 in July.  Perhaps she needs to design a clothing line for young women.

Obama Plays In World Cup??

Talk about a collectors item!  A British company released a set of mugs for their team’s fans.  Instead of a mug with defender Chris Smalling, President Barack Obama appeared on the mug with Smalling’s name under it.  They chalked up this mistake to a young, new apprentice.  The company says that particular mug is selling the best!  I wonder if the mistake got the gentleman a raise or cost him his job??  We couldn’t find the answer to that one.
