Sheila’s Pet Of The Week

Barb (wire)is a 1 year old female that is friendly and loving. Great with kids, cats and dogs. Her adoption fee of $70  includes her being spayed and vetted, plus goes back into the shelter for food & other things needed to help other animals.

Tim McGraw & Faith Hill Stop In Cookeville

The TSSAA games bring a lot of folks to town, even celebrities.  Tim McGraw & Faith Hill have family playing in the Blue Cross Bowl. They not only visited our town, but they also had dinner at Gondoloa’s in Cookeville.  They took time to take photos with the staff before they enjoyed their Meatlovers and Hawaiian Pizzas with their family.

Check Out This Supermarket Flash Mob

Broadway singer Roosevelt Credit led this flash mob as a part of the First United Methodist Church in Bangor, Maine. Patrons of the store may have thought he was a little off his rocker at first.  Watch how it suddenly turns into something beautiful with everyone singing one of my favorite spiritual songs, “This Little Light Of Mine”.   ~Sheila

Amy Adams To Play Janis Joplin

Amy Adams will portray rock icon Janis Joplin in the biopic “Get It While You Can.” Jean-Marc Vallee of “Dallas Buyers Club” fame will direct. Joplin died in 1970 at the age of 27. Amy Adams is 40, but this film has been set to begin filming for more than a decade! Sources say Amy will finally get to play Janis when filming begins next year.
