It’s been 33 years since Loretta Swit played on MASH but she has stayed busy with acting, painting and raising money for her favorite charity, animals. In our interview she talks about why she thinks MASH resonated with so many and what she’s currently up to.

Sheila Says: Goodbye Debbie Reynolds & Carrie Fisher
A day after her daughter Carrie Fisher passed away at the age of 60 from a heart attack, Debbie Reynolds also passed away after suffering a stroke. Her son said she had told him she missed Carrie so much and wanted to be with her. Debbie was 84. Just last year, she won the lifetime achievement award from the Screen Actor’s Guild. Carrie introduced her mother that day.

Sheila Says: Local Artists Publish A Cookeville Coloring Book
Mariel Swann & Anna Higgins met when they were young girls in an art class. They are both Cookeville natives that wanted to do something to represent the area they love. They created a Coookeville Coloring Book that features local landmarks like the train depot, Cream City, Ralph’s Donuts, Cookeville Courthouse, Dogwood Park and more. These are for all ages, including adults! You can purchase these collector’s items at Poet’s Coffee on the square in Cookeville or Tatum Hill Interiors, 28 West Broad Street in Cookeville. Dial-A-Carol is a student-run holiday program at the University of Illinois. Each year the students host the holiday program Dial-A-Carol. The idea behind the program is quite simple. Anyone from anywhere can call and request a holiday tune to be sung over the telephone. Their program runs 24 hours a day for seven days. This year, it runs until December 14th.
