Whitney Houston’s Story Told

The directorial debut of Angela Bassett is this Saturday at 7pm  with the airing of her story about Whitney Houston on Lifetime.  It’s simply titled Whitney. The movie didn’t have the Houston family’s approval. They wanted to see something on the big screen, but Angela worked with Whitney on Waiting to Exhale. She said she talked to friends, co-workers and other family of Whitney to comprise a truthful story of her and Bobby Brown’s relationship. Bobby will be interviewed at 9pm on Lifetime following the movie on Saturday.

Girl Scout Troop 600 Visit Lite Rock

It was great getting to talk to some of the girls from Troop 600 from the Cookeville Girl Scouts.  Emma Crannigan, Ella McGugin and Abigaile Miller did a great job answering questions with me while we were on LIVE radio. They need a great year for cookie sales, going on now, so they can see where the Girl Scouts got their start in Savannah, Georgia. Look for the girls to be selling cookies in front of local businesses in Cookeville. If you’d like to help and have them at your business, please call Patricia Bouldin, the cookie coordinator for Putnam County at 261-4319.

Hannah said the artist is her friend and she didn’t want her to get in trouble for being seen on camera.

Sheila’s Pet Of The Week

Charlie is a beautiful orange tabby. He reminds me of Garfield because he is solid as a rock with chubby cheeks. He loves to cuddle, has one of the most melodic meows and purrs as soon as you pick him up. Adopt this one year old kitty today from the new Cookeville/Putnam County Animal Shelter. Their new location is beside the Hyder Burks Ag Pavilion.

Jamestown Contestant On American Idol

If you saw Kory Wheeler on the season premiere of American Idol Wednesday night, then you saw someone LOCAL you can root for!  It said he was from Nashville because he’s been living there a few years chasing his dream and working in a coffee shop on the side. His singing gave Jennifer Lopez goose bumps. He had a nice segment on the show! We’re so excited for him.
