Did You Know Crows Leave Gifts For Their Human Friends?
8 year old Gabi Mann from Seattle has been feeding birds in her backyard since she was 4. The crows are extremely grateful and bring Gabi gifts. She’s gotten beads, Lego pieces, screws and other various items that can fit in a crow’s beak. Her favorite “gifts” are a heart shaped pearl charm and a piece of metal that says best on it. She likes to think one of the crows have the other piece that says friends.
Watch As This 3 Year Old Does An Extraodinary Thing
Little Emily James Mom donated her hair when she was in high school, so, when her daughter’s hair grew long & unmanageable, she talked to her 3 year old about donating it to children who were sick. The question Emily asked was if her doll could get her hair cut, too. Emily’s hair will go to make a wig for a child with cancer. She will receive a thank you note from the child. Watch as Emily and her doll get their new hairdos.
Sheila’s Pet Of The Week: Puddin’
Puddin’ is a 2 year old female schnauzer mix. She’s a very happy, curious dog. She loves to inspect the room around her and will always look you in the eyes when you talk to her. She has a very gentle personality. Puddin’ Pie (as I call her) would be a great pet for kids or someone that loves to cuddle. Once you hold her, Puddin’ doesn’t want to be put down. Adopt her from the Cookeville/Putnam Co. Animal Shelter. They are next to the Hyder Burks Pavilion on Gainesboro Grade.

Remember Those Without Power
While many of us resume life as we normally do on the start of another work week, others are still without power. Keep in your thoughts and prayers the more than 6 thousand in the Upper Cumberland still without power due to the ice storm last weekend. It’s been rough on them and the workers who are tirelessly trying to get it restored. Many thanks go to those helping and volunteering.
Sheila’s Pet Of The Week: Olive Martini
This girl isn’t grown yet, so she’s full of spunk. Olive is very playful. She also loves to sit on your shoulder like a parrot! She purrs and licks you, then wants down to play again. Adopt this sweet girl at the Cookeville/Putnam County Animal Shelter off Gainesboro Grade, next to Hyder Burks. Matthew from the shelter and Sheila having fun with Olive in the pics!
