A Benefit For MD

Nashville’s Gun Club invites you to the 2015 Shoot for the Cure on Saturday, April 25 with registration beginning at 8:30 am. This is a skeet shooting event with prizes up for grabs and lunch will be served. Thanks to John McGrath and his son Jack for coming in with me this morning. Jack has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Proceeds from the event go to the local MDA Chapter.

45 years ago today, in 1970, Elton John set out on his first world tour as a solo artist. He was supporting his self titled second album. The popularity of the hit single, Your Song, made him well known in the states by then. By the time his world tour was over, his entire life would change forever.

Fans are doing the #KylieJennerChallenge to make their lips appear fuller.  They suction their lips using the opening of a cup, jar or similar item until they appear swollen and sometimes bruised. The video shows the surprise on the faces, literally, of the fans.

CHS TEST Club Joined The Morning Show Today

Thanks to members of the TEST Club for coming in the studios today. Join us at the 2015 CHS BE IN THE ZONE safe driving rally this Wednesday (April 22). Its open to the public from 3-5 and we will have more than 60 vendors. There will also be plenty of give a way’s, bounce houses for the kids and a lot of fun activities.

Dekalb Co. Band Boosters Has A Car Show

Enjoy “The Chrome Concert” Car, Truck and Bike Show this Saturday (April 25) at DeKalb Middle School in Smithville. Registration is $10 per vehicle from 8 am to 12 noon. You may also purchase a 10×10 vendor space for $10. The show is from 12 noon to 2 pm with awards to follow. Thanks to Michael Cowan for coming in on the morning show to talk about it.

Upperman High Visits The Morning Show

Students from Upperman High in Baxter came in on the morning show to talk about their “Paint the Town” 5K Color Run tomorrow (April 18). It starts at b 8:30 am, rain or shine and will begin at the Bank of Putnam County, Baxter Branch. The cost is $35 or $25 for current UHS students. All proceeds benefit UHS Project Graduation. Wear white to show all of your colors.

Ice Storm Clean Up Continues In Putnam County

Putnam County Executive Randy Porter and Tyler Smith, Director of Putnam County Emergency Management, urge citizens who have debris from the past ice storm to take their brush and tree limbs to the side of the road for pickup as soon as possible.
