What Are The Top Fitness Lies?

When it comes to fitness we all lie, well at least 1 in 4 of us do and here’s the top things we lie about:
1. How many times a week we exercise.
2. How many minutes exercise
3. How far we ran.
4. How far we bike.
5. Pretending we actually did ANYTHING at all.

Fast Food Chains By The Numbers

If you’re at the food court and wondering what items are the worst for you in each category here’s the worst offenders:
1. Worst snack: Auntie Anne’s Pepperoni Pretzel with Hot Salsa Cheese Dip. It’s a pretzel with pepperoni on it, and it’s 570 calories.
2. Worst pizza: Sbarro Stuffed Sausage and Pepperoni, 810 calories per slice.
3. Worst Chinese food: Panda Express Orange Chicken with Fried Rice. It has 900 calories and 34 grams of fat.
4. Worst frozen treat: A Brownie Cookie Dough Blizzard from Dairy Queen, 1,150 calories.
5. Worst burger: Five Guys Bacon Cheeseburger, 920 calories.
6. Worst sandwich: Panera’s Steak and White Cheddar Panini, 1,050 calories.
7. Worst overall: The Caramel Pecanbon at Cinnabon. It’s 1,080 calories with 51 grams of fat, and almost half of that is saturated fat.

Running Of The Goats

I don’t know about you, but I think baby goats are just about as cute as it gets in the animal world (besides kittens & puppies).  Oh, to be able to jump around like a little goat. If you grew up in the south, you have seen buck dancing.  That’s what they look like they are doing when they jump around. Here’s your cuteness overload.

Happy Birthday Marky Mark

Mark Wahlberg, the one hit muscled rap wonder, hit the scene in the summer of 1991 as Marky Mark with this song, Good Vibrations, is celebrating his 44th birthday. He was signed to a Calvin Klein underwear campaign after the success of the song. Today, he’s more well known for his acting career in movies like The Fighter, Boogie Nights and Ted. Wahlberg was also executive producer for shows like Boardwalk Empire and Entourage.  Happy birthday, Mark! You will forever be our Marky Mark.

National Doughnut Day Is This Friday

Krispy Kreme is giving away free doughnuts and many Dunkin’ Donuts stores are offering a free doughnut with a drink purchase for National Doughnut Day, which is traditionally held on the first Friday in June. Watch this video for some history of our live in the United States for doughnuts.

You Won’t Believe What This 3 Time Cancer Survivor Did At Age 92

92 year old Harriette Thompson of Charlotte, NC became the oldest woman to complete a marathon. In a time of 7 hours, 24 minutes and 36 seconds she completed the 26 mile “Rock n Roll” marathon in Los Angeles. The time of her finish also broke the previous record for a woman 90 years of age or older by an hour and a half. Did I mention she’s a 3 time cancer survivor?
