Sheila Says: There’s Talent At Upperman High In Oklahoma

Thursday, March 29th, Upperman High School will give their last performance with this cast in the musical Oklahoma! There are five seniors in this show. Theater director, Renee Craig, came in on the morning show along with the seniors: Erin Dunn, Miranda Davis, Emma Ledbetter, Mateo Davis & Katie Davis. You can hear the interview below. If you want to attend the show, it’s only $5 per person.

Sheila Says: Rising Above’s Vision Dinner Is Tuesday

I was happy to talk with Co-founder and Executive Director Becky Davidson about the future of Rising Above. Here’s more information about attending their dinner:

It’s an evening of celebrating the legacy of Rising Above Ministries, and looking forward to what is in store for 2018 during their Legacy Vision Dinner on Tuesday, November 7th.  It takes place at The River Community Church in Cookeville at 6pm. It is open to anyone who would like to know more about how they can help support the ministry. There is no charge to attend however you MUST call the Rising Above office to RSVP at 931-526-RISE, that’s 526-7473.

Sheila Says: Local Spooky Stories From Dale Welch

Sheila Says: Eclipse Fun With Kids & Teachers

The excitement over the solar eclipse was felt all over the Upper Cumberland. I had a great time visiting with the staff and students at Prescott South Middle School in Cookeville and Gainesboro Elementary.  It was fun to get their take on the event the Friday before it happened. What did they think would take place? How would their animals react? Here are some of their thoughts……….
