I was happy to talk with Co-founder and Executive Director Becky Davidson about the future of Rising Above. Here’s more information about attending their dinner:

It’s an evening of celebrating the legacy of Rising Above Ministries, and looking forward to what is in store for 2018 during their Legacy Vision Dinner on Tuesday, November 7^th.  It takes place at The River Community Church in Cookeville at 6pm. It is open to anyone who would like to know more about how they can help support the ministry. There is no charge to attend however you MUST call the Rising Above office to RSVP at 931-526-RISE, that’s 526-7473.

The excitement over the solar eclipse was felt all over the Upper Cumberland. I had a great time visiting with the staff and students at Prescott South Middle School in Cookeville and Gainesboro Elementary.  It was fun to get their take on the event the Friday before it happened.
