This cat has beautiful blue eyes. He just hung out in the studio laying in the chair. Cena is about a year old with orange points on his ears & tail. His body is cream colored. Adopt him today at the Cookeville/Putnam County Animal Shelter.

Sheila’s Pet Of The Week: Spin Doctor

Spin Doctor is a 1 year old Border Collie/Blue Heeler mix.  He is a very friendly, smart dog who is eager to learn and has great energy for ball or frisbee. Let this be the next dog you make room for at your home. He available for adoption from the Cookeville/Putnam County Animal Shelter.

Sheila Says: Join Cookeville For The Tree Lighting Ceremony Sunday

Thanks to Cookeville Mayor Ricky Shelton for coming on the morning show to tell us about this Sunday’s parade and tree lighting ceremony.  The Cookeville Christmas parade will begin at 2:30. Following the parade, there will be a performance by the Cookeville Creative Children’s Ministry at 5pm at Dogwood Amphitheater.  The tree lighting will be at 6 for the 35 foot tree.  Several churches from around the area will lead services after the tree lighting. This is a free event.  The synchronized light show will continue each day at 5pm, 6pm, 7pm, 8pm & 9pm with a 15 minute show.

A popular spa in Japan has started a new trend. They have been filling its massive baths with French wine and water. And most women that are bathing in it are also drinking straight out of the tub. YUCK! Other people have been in that tub, too.

Mariah Carey plays an evil PTA mom who is trying to ruin her high school rival’s holiday as she comes back to her Ohio hometown in A Christmas Melody. The movie premieres on Hallmark December 19th.  Mariah is also director on the movie.

Sheila Says: Tips For Less Stress At Thanksgiving

If you are hosting Thanksgiving dinner and feeling overwhelmed – that’s totally natural. Here are some tips to take some of the stress away.

  • Set the table the night before.
  • Before heading off to bed on Thanksgiving eve empty the dishwasher and all garbage cans in the kitchen.
  • Prepare as much food as you can in advance.
  • When in doubt, ask guests to help.
  • Chill the wine the night before.
