Sheila Says: David Bowie’s Art Collection To Be Auctioned Off

David Bowie’s art collection will be auctioned off in November. It’s estimated value is $13.2 million. The late singer started collecting art in high school.  He also dabbled in art himself with creative drawings, sculptures and paintings. His personal art will not be part of the auction.

Sheila’s Pet Of The Week: Bertram

Bertram is a one year old, male, American Bulldog Mix that is already neutered and ready to be adopted. He weighs about 50 pounds and is completely grown. Bertram loves to snuggle, give kisses and is extremely playful but sweet.  Adopt him from the Cookeville Shelter next to Hyder Burks Pavilion on the Gainesboro Grade.

Sheila Says: [Listen] Get Your Tickets For The Chuck Elliot Band

Enjoy the music of The Chuck Elliott Band  on Saturday, July 23 at the Cookeville Performing Arts Center. This performance supports the Community Prevention Coalition of Jackson County. Opening the performance will be Cathy Copeland Geer. The Band will offer up a blend of their own original compositions and a mix of uniquely performed cover tunes. The concert will begin at 7 pm and tickets are $15 each. Sheila Says: Look At What This Man Was Driving Around With At Night

Police pulled a Canadian man over for traveling 65 mph in a 45 zone and for driving without headlights. You know what he was using to aid him in driving at night? He was wearing an L.E.D. headlamp on his forehead!! Shining the lamp through the windshield to view the streets. He was charged with speeding and operating an unsafe vehicle. Some people! LOL

Sheila Says: Chewbacca Mom Can Sing!

Candace Payne, aka Chewbacca Mom,  has gone viral again. This time for singing a version of Michael Jackson’s “Heal the World.” She’s a Texas native that lives near Dallas where the 5 police officers lost their lives due to a sniper.  Her video already has 3 million views.  She has admitted she wanted to originally be a singer and before her Chewbacca days fame, she tried out for The Voice twice. She was also asked to sing the National Anthem at a baseball game recently.

Sheila Says: You Can Help Save Lives Through Your iPhone

Apple is going to make it easier than ever to register as an organ donor. With the release of iOS 10 later this year, you’ll be able to sign up on your iPhone or iPad for the national organ donor registry through the Health app. Registrations submitted through the app will be sent to the National Donate Life Registry.
