At the ripe old age of 90 Dick Van Dyke’s still got it. He was at a Denny’s in Santa Monica and he was joined by some employees for an impromptu acapella version of “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.” He starred in the movie “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang” in 1968. Cell phones were up all around the restaurant. So, yes, I found it on You Tube!

Sheila Says: Ever Seen A Cat With Four Ears?
A black cat with four ears named Batman has found a home after spending a month at the Western Pennsylvania Humane Society in Pittsburgh. The employees knew immediately that they were seeing something special and didn’t allow him to be adopted at first because they had to clear up an infection. Once he was well, the search for a home lasted just a few hours. A young girl and her mother brought Batman into their family and it was a perfect match, especially since the little girl really likes superheroes.
Sheila Says: A Leg Was Found In A Beaver Dam
49 year old Mark Warner lost his prosthetic leg on a fishing trip when his canoe tipped over. He wasn’t too worried because it was an older model that he used for fishing and hunting. Last week, two guys were canoeing down a creek when they saw a leg sticking out of a beaver dam. It scared them at first because they thought they’d stumbled on a dead body. Then, one of them was on craigslist and discovered someone was missing an artificial leg. He then let the guy know where his leg was and returned it to him.

Lily Tomlin has won multiple Emmys, 2 Tonys and a Grammy. Now she’s about to receive one of the most prestigious awards to date. She’ll be the 53rd recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Screen Actors Guild. She’ll accept the honor January 29th when the SAG awards are handed out in Los Angeles.

Sheila Says: Here Is A List Of Fair Food From Around the U.S.
It’s fair season and that means people from all across the United States are coming up with the next big fried favorite. Here are some of the tastiest from fair fans across the country:
-Fried beer. Placing the beer inside a ravioli shaped pocket of dough, the wrapped parcel is then deep fried at 375 degrees for up to 30 seconds.
– Krispy Kreme chicken sandwich. It consists of a deep fried chicken breast patty with cheese inside a Krispy Kreme glazed donut.
– Deep fried Oreo’s. (Available at Helen’s Restaurant booth at the Putnam Co Fair)
– Deep fried butter.
– Hot beef sundae. It’s a scoop of mashed potato, gravy, sour whipped cream, and a cherry (tomato) on top.
– Pickle Pops. A version of a freezer pop.
– Pigs ears. Deep-fried pig ears, which resemble curly fries.
– Fried Pepsi. Instead of water, Pepsi is mixed with flour to make the batter.
– Fried Kool-Aid.
– Deep fried frog legs. (Available at Ollie’s booth at Putnam Co. Fair)
– Deep fried grilled cheese sandwich.
– Deep-fried Doritos. The Nacho-Cheese-Flavored Doritos that are already fried are tossed into a fish-and-chip-style batter and fried again.
