Number of refugees leaving the U.S for Canada spikes

Fearing they may be deported, thousands of refugees living in the U.S have been crossing the Canadian border illegally since the beginning of the year. Canadian law allows for refugees who cross an unguarded section of the border can receive asylum. Jericka Duncan reports. Source

Milky Way lights up in stunning time-lapse video

New Zealand photographer Sam Wilson captured this stunning time-lapse video of the Milky Way and Aurora Australis — the southern hemisphere’s version of the Northern Lights. Six hours of footage shot from Coronet Peak on New Zealand’s South Island was condensed into 30 seconds in this video, which went viral online. Source

Family of slain Delphi, Ind. teen speaks out

Mike Patty, the grandfather of Indiana teen Liberty German, spoke publicly March 9, 2017 for the first time since the 14-year-old and her friend Abigail Williams, 13, were found slain Feb. 14 near a Delphi riverbed. He called the teens heroes and urged anyone with information to come forward. Their killer remains unknown. Source
