Labor Day caps record-breaking summer travel season

As the Labor Day holiday weekend wraps up, millions of Americans will be traveling across the country to make it back home. The TSA expects to screen over 17 million travelers from Aug. 29 through Sept. 4 — nearly nine percent more than last year. The busy weekend caps off a record-breaking summer for the travel industry. Gun violence plagues Labor Day in Chicago and NYC

Gunfire rang out in two major U.S. cities on Monday. In a Chicago suburb, four people were killed on a train. Police say the shooter did not appear to know the victims and the attack was random. New York City police say at least five were wounded at a shooting along the the West Indian American Day parade route. Source
