House probe of January 6 riot in disarray after dispute over GOP members

The House select committee investigating the January 6th riot is in disarray. Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy pulled all five of his Republican picks after Speaker Nancy Pelosi rejected two of the members. This all comes as Senate Republicans blocked a key vote on a bipartisan infrastructure bill. GOP lawmakers seek NIH records on research funding, COVID-19 origins

In a letter obtained by CBS News, Republican lawmakers called on the National Institutes of Health to turn over records about possible U.S. funding of research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology before the pandemic.
