Python squeezes Thai woman for two hours in her kitchen

Warning: Images may be disturbing to some viewers. A 13-to-16-foot-long python wrapped itself around a 64-year-old woman in Bangkok, Thailand, Tuesday night until a neighbor walked by. The woman was treated for several bites but did not suffer any serious wounds. Source

Human remains found in car that started Texas pipeline fire

Residents in suburban Houston returned to their homes Thursday after evacuating from an ongoing natural gas pipeline fire. Officials say the case turned into a criminal investigation as they work to identify the remains found in the SUV that struck the pipeline. CBS News correspondent Janet Shamlian reports. Source

Judge shot and killed at Kentucky courthouse

Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear confirmed that a county district judge was shot and killed in his chambers Thursday in Letcher County. Authorities said a local sheriff was arrested at the scene. The identity of the judge was not immediately available. Source

CBS News joins volunteers searching for missing migrants on dangerous path

Nearly 11,000 migrants have died trying to cross the U.S.-Mexico border since 1998, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection. Volunteers, who call themselves “Armadillos,” are searching for those missing in one of the deadliest parts of the border.
