Paul Whelan on his lowest point in Russian custody

Paul Whelan, the former Marine who was wrongfully detained in Russia for nearly six years, spoke to CBS News in his first interview since his release in August as part of a complex prisoner swap. Whelan described the frustration he felt when he learned in 2022 that he would not be freed as part of the deal that saw the release of basketball star Brittney Griner. Source

Why pharmacy chains are seeing mass store closures

Walgreens this week announced that 1,200 of its stores could close soon, while CVS, which is also in the process of major staffing cuts, announced Friday that CEO Karen Lynch was being replaced. Rite Aid filed for bankruptcy last year. Industrywide, an estimated 7,000 pharmacies have already shuttered in the last five years. Jo Ling Kent examines what is behind the closures. Source
