Ava DuVernay on humanizing Central Park Five

In 1989, five black and Latino teenagers were wrongly accused of the brutal rape of a jogger in New York City’s Central Park. Antron McCray, Kevin Richardson, Yusef Salaam, Raymond Santana and Korey Wise became known as the Central Park Five. The boys were charged and convicted with no physical evidence implicating them. But in 2002, their convictions were overturned after DNA evidence and a confession exonerated them. Trump pardons for accused war criminals?

President Trump may issue pardons to several Americans accused of committing war crimes. CBS News has learned the pardons could include an Army Green Beret charged with killing an unarmed Afghan and a former Blackwater security contractor accused of killing unarmed civilians. From Texas to Oklahoma, 40 tornadoes touch down

More powerful storms are building in the southern Plains where five and a half million people are under a threat of severe weather. Tornadoes touched down in several states over the weekend. School is canceled Monday for more than 150,000 kids around Oklahoma City where the biggest threat is right now. David Begnaud reports. Source
