A murder that shook an upscale California neighborhood is now the focus of an international manhunt. Multi-millionaire businessman Peter Chadwick and his wife QC disappeared from their Newport Beach home in 2012. Chadwick was later charged with her murder for Allegedly staging her death. A new book raises questions about whether the federal government is doing enough to ensure the safety of generic drugs coming into the United States. Nine out of every 10 prescriptions filled are for generics. That saves Americans some $3 billion a week over the cost of brand-name drugs. Many of those generics come from abroad, with 80 percent of active ingredients and 40 percent of finished drugs coming from outside the U.S. Anna Werner reports. Source

One of Facebook’s creators is calling on the government to break up the social media giant. Chris Hughes helped Mark Zuckerberg found Facebook in their Harvard dorm room in 2004. Hughes left Facebook in 2007. In a New York Times opinion piece posted Thursday, Hughes writes he’s angry that, in his view, Zuckerberg’s “focus on growth led him to sacrifice security and civility for clicks.” He calls Zuckerberg’s power “unprecedented and un-American.” The company has more than 6 billion monthly active users across its platforms, which also include WhatsApp and Instagram. We’re getting a clearer look at the spacecraft that could one day bring people to the moon. Amazon founder Jeff Bezos on Thursday showed off Blue Moon, a lunar lander developed by Bezos’ spaceflight company Blue Origin.
