Meet the “guardian angel” who’s donated two of his organs

More than 100,000 people in the United States are waiting for an organ transplant. Statistics show that while 95% of Americans say they support organ donation, only 58% are actually signed up as a donor. But one man, James Neal, has given two organs away: he donated a kidney in 2016 and has now given part of his liver to a total stranger. Nikki Battiste reports. Source

Retired general calls for one-year national service campaign

During his long military career, retired four-star army general Stanley McChrystal led U.S. and international forces in Afghanistan. He was also in charge of the Joint Special Operations Command, the nation’s premiere military counterterrorism force. Now he’s on a new mission, called “Serve America Together.” It’s a one-year paid national service for young Americans over the age of 18, who will help communities in critical areas like education, the environment, and disaster relief. General McChrystal joins “CBS This Morning” from Washington. Source
