The staggering cost of fertility treatments

About 13 in 100 American couples have trouble getting pregnant. Infertility treatments like IVF cost more than $10,000 per cycle and freezing your eggs on average is between $30,000 and $40,000. Refinery 29 senior vice president Julie Alvin joins “CBS This Morning” to discuss the anonymous infertility diary they released which chronicles one woman’s difficult journey. After an initial consultation nearly two years ago, she had three rounds of intra-uterine insemination and is in the middle of her first round of IVF. She has already spent more than $26,000. Source

San Francisco Airport rolls out ban on plastic water bottles

American man says resort worker he killed was “crazed and desperate”

A Connecticut man accused of killing a hotel worker in the Caribbean four months ago is speaking out about the incident for the first time. Scott Hapgood is charged with manslaughter in the death of Kenny Mitchel, who Hapgood claims attacked him at a resort on the island of Anguilla in April in front of his two daughters.
