Bernie Sanders campaign manager: There’s too many guns on the streets of America

Faiz Shakir, campaign manager for Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, spoke to CBSN’s “Red & Blue” in the wake of two mass shootings in El Paso, Texas and Dayton, Ohio over the weekend. Cesar Sayoc sentenced to 20 years in prison for sending pipe bombs to Democrats

A Florida amateur body builder who admitted sending pipe bombs to prominent Democrats and CNN was sentenced to 20 years in prison Monday by a judge who concluded the bombs were purposely not designed to explode. Cesar Sayoc, 57, wept and crossed himself, appearing relieved, when U.S. District Judge Jed S. Rakoff announced the sentence. Source

El Paso survivor shares horror of Walmart shooting

At least 22 people have died after a shooting at a Walmart in El Paso, Texas, on Saturday. Two, including an elderly woman, died of their wounds in the hospital. “CBS Evening News” anchor Norah O’Donnell shares the stories of those impacted by the attack, including a survivor, and grandparents whose family was inside the store at the time.
