Body cam footage shows police officer ambushed with heavy gunfire

Sacramento police have released body-cam video of a deadly police shooting showing officers coming under heavy gunfire. Officials say police were responding to a domestic call when police say they were ambushed. It took police 45 minutes to get 26-year-old rookie officer Tara O’Sullivan to the hospital, where she died. Fellow officers saluted her casket as her body was taken to a funeral home on Saturday. Her alleged killer is due in court Monday. Source

11 people killed after skydiving plane crashes in Hawaii

11 people are believed dead in Hawaii after the twin-engine plane they were aboard crashed. It is the deadliest civilian plane crash in the last four years. The plane has just taken off near Oahu’s North Shore when it fell out of the sky. Carter Evans reports. Source

Colorado gets almost 2 feet of snow on the first day of summer

In Colorado, a summer storm brought nearly 2 feet of snow to some areas. And on Friday severe storms ripped off roofs and downed power lines in parts of Tennessee. The strong storms are being blamed for the deaths for at least three people. More rough weather is expected in parts of the country. Meteorologist Jeff Berardelli reports. Source
