Man convicted in Chowchilla kidnapping of 26 children denied parole

Fred Woods, one of the men convicted in the Chowchilla kidnappings, was denied parole this week. He and two other men abducted 26 children from a school bus and buried them alive in 1976. “CBS This Morning” lead national correspondent David Begnaud joined CBSN AM to discuss the case being featured in this week’s “48 Hours.” Source

Trooper pulls over to save flag from highway

This Nevada trooper spotted something on the road while on patrol, circled back around and realized it was an American flag. The trooper, who is also military veteran, immediately brought the flag to a local American Legion Lodge. His dashcam caught the patriotic deed as it unfolded. Source
