Iran claims one of its oil tankers was hit by two missiles

Iran says two missiles hit an Iranian tanker overnight off the coast of Saudi Arabia, in a new escalation of tensions in the region. Iran’s state-run news agency says the ship was sailing near the Saudi port of Jeddah. The tanker company says the crew is safe. The reported attack comes just weeks after drone and missile attacks on the world’s largest oil processing facility in Saudi Arabia. Source

A 41-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of terrorism Friday after injuring several people in a stabbing spree at a shopping center in Manchester, England. The man entered the Arndale shopping center Friday morning with a large knife and attacked people, police said. Source

2 killed in New Orleans Hard Rock Hotel construction collapse

Rescue crews in New Orleans spent the day searching for a missing worker after a hotel under construction collapsed on the outskirts of the French Quarter. At least two people were killed when the Hard Rock Hotel came crashing to the ground Saturday. Meg Oliver reports. Source

Tyler Skaggs was reportedly given oxocodone by L.A. Angels employee

Tyler Skaggs, the Los Angeles Angels pitcher who died this summer, was reportedly given drugs by a team employee. Skaggs was found dead in a Texas hotel in July. An autopsy found opioids in his system. According to ESPN, an Angels public relations representative told federal agents he gave Skaggs oxycodone and watched him snort drugs the night before he died.
