Holmes says he heard Trump ask Sondland about “investigation”

David Holmes, a U.S. State Department official in Ukraine, described during his testimony on Thursday the call he overheard between Ambassador Gordon Sondland and President Trump. According to Holmes, he sat “directly across” from Sondland during the call, and “the president’s voice was loud and recognizable.” Holmes said he heard Mr. Trump ask Sondland if the Ukrainian president “was gonna do the investigation?” to which he says Sondland responded: “He’s gonna do it.” Source

Hill says Russia wanted to “delegitimize our entire presidency” in 2016

National Security Council expert Fiona Hill explained during her testimony on Thursday why the conspiracy theory that Ukraine, not Russia, was responsible for the 2016 U.S. election interference is false. House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff asked Hill how the theory served Russian interests, and Hill responded: “The Russians interests are frankly to delegitimize our entire presidency.” Source

Devin Nunes congratulates Marie Yovanovitch on her “performance”

Before questioning former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch during the second day of public hearings in the House impeachment inquiry, the top Republican on the House Intelligence Committee took a swipe at the Democrat-led proceedings. Marie Yovanovitch says she never met or talked to Hunter Biden

During the second day of public hearings in the House impeachment inquiry, former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch was questioned about former Vice President Joe Biden’s son Hunter Biden and his role on the board of Burisma, a Ukrainian gas firm.
