Illinois County reaches $10 million settlement over fatal police shooting

Officials in Sangamon County, Illinois, reached a $10 million settlement with the family of Sonya Massey on Friday. The 36-year-old woman was fatally shot by a sheriff’s deputy in her home last July after she called 911, fearing someone was trying to break into her home.
