Trump begins vacation in Florida amid national security concerns

President Trump began his two-week trip to Florida on Friday night, after signing a $738 billion defense bill for next year. But Mr. Trump arrived in Florida under an ominous cloud courtesy of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, who recently promised a “Christmas gift” to the U.S. in response to its refusal to lift sanctions on North Korea. U.S. intelligence officials tell CBS News a North Korean intercontinental ballistic missile test could occur soon most likely after the first of the year. Chip Reid reports. Source

NYPD manhunt underway for 2nd teen suspect in student stabbing death

A police hunt is underway for a second teenager wanted in connection with the deadly stabbing of a New York City college student. Barnard freshman Tessa Majors died after being stabbed Wednesday in a park. Police already arrested a 13-year-old who admitted he was part of a group robbing Majors and watched as his friend stabbed and choked her. Nikki Battiste reports. Source

“Sesame Street,” Sally Field, Earth, Wind & Fire, and conductor Michael Tilson Thomas were all celebrated for their lifetime contributions to the performing arts at the 42nd annual Kennedy Center Honors. The event was held earlier this month in Washington and aired on CBS last night.
