Lori Vallow returns to Idaho to face charges over 2 missing kids

The Idaho mother suspected of being involved in the disappearance of her children arrives back in the state Thursday to face charges. Lori Vallow has been held on a $5 million bail since her arrest in Hawaii. Her children, 7-year-old JJ Vallow and 17-year-old Tylee Ryan, have not been seen since September. Jonathan Vigliotti reports from Rexburg, Idaho where Vallow’s court appearance is scheduled. Source

Planned Parenthood leader speaks out on Supreme Court abortion case

The Supreme Court is weighing its first major abortion case since President Trump appointed two conservative judges to the bench. The case is challenging a Louisiana law that requires doctors performing abortions to have admitting privileges at nearby hospitals. Planned Parenthood filed a court brief calling the law “unconstitutional.” Planned Parenthood Action Fund CEO, Alexis McGill Johnson, joins “CBS This Morning” after being in court for arguments on Wednesday. Charity aims to reunite veterans with lost service honors

A tiny Vermont organization set out to reunite families of veterans with lost service medals and other mementos. Purple Hearts Reunited began as a passion project for Army Major Zachariah Fike and has since turned into a non-profit helping people around the country. Entire family among Tennessee tornado fatalities

The search for survivors is still ongoing in Tennessee after tornadoes left at least 24 people dead. In hard-hit Putnam County, a tornado was on the ground for over 50 miles, one of the longest paths of destruction in the region’s history. Outpouring of goodwill for Alabama woman battling hospital lawsuit

Thousands of Americans face medical lawsuits in which hospitals sue them for astronomical unpaid bills. However, in the case of KC Roberts, relief came in a response she never expected – after speaking to CBS News about her nearly $37,000 unpaid medical debt, people around the country reached out to help. A non-profit Alabama law group even stepped in to fight her court battle. Anna Werner reports on the outpouring of goodwill and the industry problems that made it necessary. Source

Coronavirus cruise ship quarantined off California coast

A 71-year-old coronavirus patient died on Wednesday, less than two weeks after disembarking from a cruise ship in California where he was likely exposed. The death marks California’s first coronavirus-related fatality and forced the governor to call a state of emergency.
