Florida voters in 2018 overwhelmingly approved a proposition to allow roughly 1.5 million felons in the state to be given back their right to vote. But the COVID-19 pandemic and a controversial law put in place by Republican Governor Ron DeSantis could jeopardize many of these returning citizens’ ability to vote in the 2020 election. Trump campaign capitalizes on Biden’s remarks
Joe Biden is facing backlash over remarks he made during a radio interview Friday. The former vice president said, “if you have a problem figuring out if you’re for me or Trump, then you ain’t black,” when discussing undecided African American voters. Biden has since expressed regret for the remarks and said he would never take the African American community for granted.
