Reopened Virginia restaurant fills dining room with midcentury mannequins

Virginia’s The Inn at Little Washington reopened Friday evening with an inventive solution in place. To make the restaurant feel fuller — and a bit more entertaining — world-renowned chef Patrick O’Connell has filled the dining room with mannequins, creatively dressed in 1940s clothing. Saturday Sessions: Jason Isbell performs “What’ve I Done to Help”

Musician Jason Isbell recorded his new album, “Reunions,” before the coronavirus outbreak hit. Like many artists during the pandemic, he was supposed to be on tour but instead finds himself at home isolating with his wife, fellow musician Amanda Shires, and their 4-year-old daughter. Despite being confined to home himself, Isbell’s album spread out wide to hit number one on four Billboard charts. He performs “What’ve I Done to Help” for “CBS This Morning: Saturday.” Source

“Tactical Beer Response Unit” brings pints to London residents under lockdown

An East London pub that was forced to shut during the coronavirus pandemic found a way to get its beer to customers, while customers can’t get to the bar. Peter Brown, the U.S.-born owner of the Forest Road Brewery, has set up the “Tactical Beer Response Unit,” helping locals get through the pandemic one pint at a time.
