22 soldiers injured in parachuting exercise at Mississippi’s Camp Shelby

A mishap during a military parachute exercise injured at least 22 soldiers at a major training ground for U.S. troops. About 650 soldiers were taking part in a night parachute jump at Camp Shelby in Mississippi. The military says a plane missed the drop zone, sending paratroopers crashing into trees in a forested area. The injured soldiers were assigned to Alaska’s fourth brigade combat team. Republicans slam Trump over withdrawal of troops from Syria

President Trump faces rare backlash from his own party for his decision to withdraw U.S. troops from northern Syria. New video shows more Americans leaving the area near the Turkish border, clearing the way for Turkey to attack Kurdish fighters who were crucial U.S. allies in the fight against ISIS. The president’s decision reportedly was a shock to other officials.
