Are Congressional Republicans breaking away from Trump?

Congress is preparing for a new battle after handing President Trump the first Congressional defeat of his term. The Senate is set to confirm President-elect Joe Biden’s victory on January 6, though some Congressional Republicans are preparing to challenge the results. Mr. Trump and Mr. Biden are also planning visits to Georgia on Monday, ahead of that state’s two crucial Senate runoff elections – the results will determine which party controls the Senate for the next two years. Singer-songwriter Eric Burton was a busker in Los Angeles when he made a trip to Austin, Texas, where he met producer and bandleader Adrian Quesada. Together they formed Black Pumas, and scored a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist at the 2019 awards. This year, they are up for three Grammy Awards — Album of the Year, Record of the Year and Best Roots Performance. They join “CBS This Morning: Saturday” to perform “Confines.” Source

Greenpeace signals alarm over growing amount of microplastics in Earth’s waters

Around the world, scientists are becoming increasingly alarmed about an environmental threat that humans are just starting to understand – microplastics and other manmade materials seeping into oceans and seas. Roxana Saberi joined researchers with the environmental group Greenpeace as they traveled from Antarctica to England, discovering just how much is polluting the remote waters, and what can be done to slow the tide. Crisis response team answers 911 calls without armed police

For more than 30 years, CAHOOTS – which stands for “Crisis Assistance Helping Out On The Streets” – has been serving communities in central Oregon.
