D.C. mayor gives update in wake of violence at U.S. Capitol

Washington, D.C., Mayor Muriel Bowser criticized the federal Capitol Police for their response to the violence Wednesday that disrupted a joint session of Congress to count Electoral College votes. “Obviously it was a failure, or you would not have had police lines breached and people entering the building by breaking windows,” Bowser said at a Thursday press conference.
