Medical group says most women can skip pelvic exams

A major physicians’ group is recommending against routine pelvic exams for women who don’t have gynecologic symptoms, and it could shake up decades of common medical practice. Gynecologist Dr. Taraneh Shirazian of Mount Sinai Hospital’s Icahn School of Medicine joins the “CBS This Morning” co-hosts to explain the new guidelines. Source

Obama orders more troops to Iraq

President Obama has informed Congress he is sending up to 200 additional U.S. forces to Iraq. They are being sent with helicopters and will be combat capable, but senior officials say their mission is to protect embassy personnel, secure Baghdad’s airports and, if necessary, assist with evacuations from Baghdad. Missing Israeli teens found dead in West Bank

The bodies of three missing Israeli teens were discovered under a pile of rocks north of the town of Halhul, near Hebron in the West Bank. The disappearance sparked a security crackdown. More than 400 were arrested and five Palestinians died in subsequent clashes. Holly Williams reports. Source
