Today In The Upper Cumberland: Elder Abuse

UCDD’s Trent Carter breaks down and discusses the growing issue of elder abuse.

The National Council On Aging estimates 1 in 10 older adults experiences elder abuse. Even more concerning, the Center on Elder Abuse estimates only 1 in 24 cases of elder abuse are ever reported. More and more of us are reaching senior citizen age. That means elder abuse will likely increase. It’s up to all of us to be a part of the solution. Trent Carter is an Adult Advocate for Elder and Vulnerable Adults with UCDD.
