Texas governor signs bill banning abortion as early as 6 weeks

Texas Governor Greg Abbott signed into a law a bill outlawing abortion as early as six weeks into pregnancy. Unlike other states’ so-called “heartbeat” bills, this one would allow private citizens to file lawsuits against doctors, clinics or even family members who “aid and abet” the procedure.
