Find out how you can remember the March 3rd, 2020 tornado victims this week.
This weekend marks the juncture between two memorable weather moments in our community’s history. Next week, the community will remember the March 3rd, 2020 tornado. This past week, the region got power restored after a powerful multi-day ice storm. Thousands spent part of the week in the dark – some did not have power restored until midweek this week. Upper Cumberland Electric CEO Jennifer Brogdon says she’s proud of her team’s efforts, and thankful for the patience of local residents. With the ice storm behind us, we turn to this week’s anniversary of the March 3rd tornado. Putnam County and the City of Cookeville will remember the victims of the storm with several activities on Wednesday. Putnam County Mayor Randy Porter is with us to discuss the events.
